About Melisa

I’m a Dauphin Island and Mobile area photographer specializing in natural, true-to-life beach sessions for families.

My work has been internationally published in publications such as Summerana, Brand Model, Kid Model, and International Model. More importantly, I’ve built my business around a consistent, well-guided experience that allows families to relax and enjoy the moment without pressure or guesswork.

I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was 14, when I claimed my mom’s Nikon and spent every bit of babysitting money on film and developing. I’m also a mom of two, so I understand firsthand that sessions with children don’t need to be perfect to be meaningful. I build flexibility into every session—allowing space for movement, breaks, and real interaction— that’s where the best images come from.

My goal is simple: to create images that feel natural, look true to life, and hold their value over time both visually and emotionally.

In my professional work, I focus heavily on structure, process, and continuous improvement and that naturally carries into how I run my photography sessions.
